Is there a difference between Transformers Armada (American) and Micron Legends (Japanese)?

Sometimes they edit parts out and stuff. I was going to buy this series and both are available so I want to know if there are any major differences. I saw a site that showed different animations for the same scenes but it was in Japanase and I couldn't read it. Thanks!
