How come no one can write or speak proper English?

I am sick and tired of reading things with misspellings and terrible grammar. Why can't people write in good English so they are more easily understood? Don't you hate when people use the wrong versions of certain words (for example your instead of you're, or there instead of their or they're)? Why do you think people don't write properly now?
