How do I get my dog to stop peeing and pooping on the carpet when hes left at home alone with 2 other dogs?

He only does this when we leave the house, not when we're home and he cannot be confined in his crate because of his previous owners. He gets some sort of anxiety attack and flips out. We tried keeping him in his crate but he will pee and poop in there then lay in it and he will chew on the metal bars on the front of the crate trying to get out. It looks like we've kept Taz the tasmanian devil in there from where hes tried scratching his way out too.
