treat strait away, white spot treatment usually only kill the free form swimming cycle of white spot, and you will never get rid of white spot as it is part of the fish and a form of defence but when stressed this defence becomes a disease we all know as white spot, so look for the course of the stress and this will or should stop another flair up. good luck hope this helps
