Anyone With Dry Skin... Have you ever Done this?

I have heard people say it is unsanitary but i will ask anyway. For exp. if you have dry skin and taking a shower or bath daily makes it worser, is it ok to skip out on a shower and bath and just wash the "areas" prone to odor with soap and water. Like skipping out on washing your arms and legs and just washing your private areas as well as arm pits? Is this unsanitary?
